About This Photoblog

I designed and built this site as a personal photoblog and an alternative to online photo sharing sites like Flickr.com.

Built with WordPress, the clean design and limited number of bells and whistles ensure the site does what’s intended: to show off the work with as few distractions as possible.

How it works

  • The most recent image is always added at the top, just below a “sticky” post containing introductory text.
  • Text associated with each photo allows for descriptions, personal observations or whatever needs to be said.
  • Functions built into the site are limited to two: clickable images that display a larger view and allowing visitor commenting.

More functions — such as lists of posts by category, title or date — can be added anytime. The layout can also be adjusted to include sidebars, expanded footers or pages with static content that would take the site from a blog to a more extensive website.

I hope you enjoy my photographs. If you have comments about individual images, please feel free. A comments form can be opened by clicking on the title of each post.

If you get inspired to start your own photoblog, or see anything that gives you ideas for a portfolio site or online image gallery, please contact me through the DaysWork website.
